New assessment tools and methods in medical education not only facilitate learning but also enable personalized learning planning. This cross-sectional study, using the combined Logbook-CSR method specifically for evaluating medical students' internships, was designed, implemented, and evaluated at Sabzevar University of Medical Sciences.
In the evaluation phase, survey forms for Logbook and CSR were utilized. In the survey conducted with students at the end of the internship, more than 50% of students were highly satisfied with the integrated evaluation method. Overall, implementing the combined approach was more successful than individual methods in assessing performance from the stakeholders' perspective in guiding students' procedures during the course and interacting with other groups; this approach, by enabling feedback from faculty based on course objectives, has made it possible to measure achievement of objectives. It has also provided valid, accessible, and acceptable evaluation in real-world settings.
