Introduction: Anxiety is a general feeling of excitement and vague worriness.. If this feeling continues, it will be accompanied by other mental problems. Nurses are one of those who are are always facing anxiety induced damages.This study aims to assess the anxiety of nurses in Neyshabour University of medical science’s hospitals.
Materials and Methods: This descriptive study had evaluated the anxiety level of nurses in Neyshabour University of medical science hospitals in 2014. Total number of 137 male and female nurses was selected for present study by stratified random sampling. Filled Spielberger's State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) questionnaires were collected by research units.
Results: Moderate trait state anxiety and mild trait anxiety was seen in 51.82 and 49.63 percent of nurses respectively. 51.82 percent of the subjects had moderate state anxiety, and 49/63 percent had mild trait anxiety.
