Background and Aims: Human resources are one of three principle health system inputs, so paying attention to their workload is of great importance. The purpose of the present study was to determine the relationship between the workload of Health workers with working hours of medical Homes in Robat Karim.
Materials and Method: This is a descriptive-analytic and cross- sectional study. Data gathered through a timetable checklist of 30 executive activities in medical Homes, which was completed for ten health workers in 10 medical Homes of Robat Karim and three health workers mentors. Data were analyzed using SPSS software, descriptive statistics, independent t-test and one-sample t-test, and the Agresti – Coull confidence interval method.
Results: 53.13% of the 30 studied activities had a meaningful relationship with regard to the manner of implementation or the duration of the service with the working hours of health workers. In 56.6% of the activities there was a significant difference between the Target population by each program with a standard state of 100%. 93.3% of the activities were not adequately covered in terms of repetition in the desired period (six months) and had a significant difference with the standard state.
Conclusion: health workers have not enough time to provide all services to the covered population, according to the package of services announced by the Ministry of Health. Revision of the package of health care services and the population covered by each health workers is recommended.
