The Investigation of Spiritual Intelligence and related factors in Students of University of Medical Science of Neyshabur

Abstract

Introduction: possessing high spiritual intelligence in hygiene and clinical staff can certainly have a significant effect on rendering different services to patients and the society. The present study, with the aim of researching the spiritual intelligence of the students of medicine in Neyshabur.Materials and Methods: the present study is a cross study done on 217 students in the college of medicine in Neyshabur. The sampling procedure was done through census and the questionnaire by Abdullah Zadeh it all, was used to gather the necessary data. Having been gathered through descriptive tests, t- test, linear regression and by means of SPSS 20, the data were analyzed.
Results: among the 217 subjects were 62 male and 135 female, the average age of whose was 20.63 and the average spiritual intelligence was 119.63, with 119.63 for males and 119.7 for females. The difference between the boys and the girls was not statistically significant. On the basis of multi- variable test, and linear regression, variables such as the age, field of study and religion became statistically significant.
Discussion and conclusion: most subjects in the present study demonstrated a higher spiritual intelligence than the average and of course higher than that found in other studies. Variables such as age, field of study, and religion were significant and of course verified by the results of other studies. Furthermore, since the students of medicine will be dealing with health and different illnesses, it is advisable to have some plans on the development of spiritual intelligence.
