Background and Aims: The present research was designed and conducted by the aim of investigating the effect of spiritual intelligence training on spiritual well-being and life satisfaction in employees of Islamic Azad University-Gorgan branch.
Materials and Method: The present research was an applied research conducted with semi-experiential method which used a pretest-posttest with control group design. The population of the current study included all the employees of Islamic Azad University-Gorgan branch in the second half of 2017. The study sample consisted of 40 employees of the University who, after the initial interview and based on the study inclusion and exclusion criteria, were selected by available sampling method, and were then assigned into experiment and control groups by random assignment method (20 individuals per group). For gathering the data, the Spiritual Well Being Scale of Paloutzian and Ellison, and Satisfaction with Life Scale of Diener, were used. Spiritual intelligence training was held for the experiment group for 8 weekly two-hour sessions in groups but the control group subjects received no intervention. For analyzing the data, the univariate analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) and SPSSv20 were used.
Results: Results of the analysis of covariance suggested that spiritual intelligence training significantly improved spiritual well-being and life satisfaction among the employees (P
