Abstract

Background and Aims: The students constitute a large part of the society and since their health behaviors have a great impact on community health promotion, this study aimed to determine lifestyle among university students in Esfarayen city.
Materials and Methods: : In this descriptive-analytical study, through random sampling, 230 students from Esfarayen governmental universities were selected. Data were collected applying lifestyle questionnaire (LSQ). T-test, ANOVA, and Pearson’s correlation test were used for data analysis, by SPSS version 21.0. (α=0.05).

There was significant relationship between students' lifestyle and sex (P<0.05); however, no such relationships were observed between life style and residence, type of university, students' major and university entrance time (P>0.05).
Conclusion: Students' lifestyles were evaluated on an average level; Therefore, standard interventional and educational programs are recommended to improve the lifestyle of students, especially in terms of spiritual health, exercise and health, avoiding drug abuse, and weight and nutrition management.
