Abstract
Background and Objective: The biggest challenge for teachers in the classroom is to present lessons in a way that will remain in their minds long after they leave the classroom. This article is a review study aimed at examining new methods in teaching and learning.
Materials and Methods: A review of articles was conducted based on a comprehensive search in Persian and English databases including PubMed, SCOPUS, SID, and Magiran. For the search, related keywords including "new teaching methods", " Imagination in education", "concept map", "storytelling in learning" and their combinations were used. After collecting the articles, the studies were selected based on the inclusion criteria. Inclusion criteria included articles that examined at least one of the methods of Imagination, concept mapping, or storytelling as an educational tool.
Results: Modern educational methods can be divided into different methods. These methods are designed based on enhancing spatial intelligence, visualizing information, and creating deeper mental connections. These methods include concept mapping, character building and storytelling, metaphor, multisensory methods, and spatial activities in learning.
Conclusion: Introducing new teaching methods such as visualization, concept mapping, character development and storytelling, metaphor, multi-sensory methods, and spatial activities in learning, which are known as effective tools in improving understanding, consolidating information in long-term memory, and increasing problem-solving ability, can create a transformation in classrooms to make them more attractive.
