The Relationship between Mental health and Self-Efficacy and Self-Esteem in students of Payam Noor University of sanandaj

Abstract

Background and Aims: Mental health is one of the most important topics in psychology and psychiatry. Many psychological factors play a role in Mental health. The aim of this study was to investigate the Relationship between Mental health and Self-Efficacy and Self-Esteem in students of Payam Noor University of sanandaj.
Materials and Method: The present study is a correlational study. The research population includes all students of Payam Noor University in the academic year of 2016-17, which includes 600 people. Samples were selected using multistage clustering method. Research instruments included the Mental health scale, Scherer's Self- efficacy, and Rosenberg self- esteem. For data analysis, SPSS software version 23 and Pearson correlation and regression statistical tests were used.
Results: According to the results of the study, there is a significant and positive relation between Mental health and Self- efficacy and Self- esteem in students (p<0/05).
Conclusion: According to the results of this study, Mental health is a predictor of Self-efficacy and Self-esteem in Students. Given this issue, identifying the factors affecting Mental health can be very important and effective.
