Today, the coronavirus pandemic is a severe threat to mental health and an integral part of social life. At the forefront of treatment, nurses are at a high risk of infection due to close and constant contact with the patients. They have experienced a considerable degree of burnout around this period (2). They are prone to complex emotional reactions and psychological pressure, to the extent that these may exceed their coping skills and have harmful and destructive effects on their mental health. Mental health problems can impair their attention, comprehension, cognitive function, and ability to make clinical decisions. As a result, it may increase the frequency of occurrence of medical mistakes and errors. Consequently, maintaining nurses' mental health seems essential for a better handle of the pandemic.
Previous studies have shown nurses have experienced a variety of psychological symptoms, including depression, anger, concerns about getting ill, anxiety, denial, insomnia, post-traumatic stress disorder, fear, paranoid thoughts, considering suicide, addiction, and high levels of burnout.
