The Survey of Relationship between Sexual Satisfaction and Social Relationships in Women Referring to Mashhad Health Centers in 1396

Abstract

Background : Sexual satisfaction is an important indicator of sexual health. The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between sexual satisfaction and social relationships in women referring to health centers in Mashhad in 1396.
Methods: This study was a cross-sectional study. The population of this study was women referring to health centers in Mashhad in 1396. In this study, Sample size is 300 people, were selected through available sampling method. Data collection tools were two questionnaires. The first questionnaire was related to Golombok-Rust sexual satisfaction status, which had 28 questions and the second questionnaire was related to social relations.
Results: According to the results obtained from the regression model, sexual satisfaction has an effect on social relationships with a high correlation coefficient. Also, based on the results of Pearson and Spearman correlation test, there is a significant relationship between social relationships and individual dimensions of sexual satisfaction (p-value <0.05). The mean scores obtained for the study population for sexual satisfaction and social relations were 41.1 and 47.15, respectively.
Conclusion: The results of the study show an effective relationship between sexual satisfaction and social relations of individuals, so sexual satisfaction can be considered as an intermediate variable between social conditions and community health, the quantity and quality of which affect the general health of individuals.
