Patients’ health is among the central concerns of the care-giving issues, and care plans must be scheduled so that the least possible problems are incurred on the patient and their families. Therefore, evidence-based nursing can be considered as one of the most optimal methods currently used. In order to access the current studies, references were used from databases including MD Consult, Nursing Consult, Science Direct, SID, Magiran and PubMed. Primary considerations indicated mean attitude and practical measures toward evidence-based practice among the participants of the studies; however, their mean knowledge was relatively low. The application of evidence from studies was highly meager; and most nurses, nurse managers and even most instructors at universities were not familiar with evidence-based nursing practice. Therefore, we may emphasize that nurse educators should apply methods with high plausibility in order to enhance the critical thinking of nurses, and to get their nurse students familiar with the concept of evidence-based nursing practice.
