The outbreak of Covid 19 in late 2019 has caused various changes in the quality of life and mental health of people, especially pregnant women. Restrictions, such as house quarantine and social isolation, can increase anxiety and depression in everyday life; In addition, the reduction of prenatal care visits and concerns about the health of oneself and the fetus or the transmission of the epidemic to the fetus in pregnant women has significantly increased this concern and anxiety. Adverse effects of anxiety and depression during pregnancy on mother and fetus include an increased risk of miscarriage, preterm delivery, fetal death, and behavioral-cognitive problems in children. Consequences of pregnancy, anxiety, depression and lack of privacy during this period have adverse effects on sexual function. Fear of getting or transmitting Covid 19 reduces sexual desire and can have negative effects on marital relationships and mental health. Domestic violence has increased due to quarantine and poor economic conditions, which violence against pregnant women can have adverse effects on maternal and fetal health, including prenatal bleeding, abortion and stillbirth. Given the physiological changes in pregnant women and the importance of mental health in them, it is necessary to increase social support and psychological assistance from organizations for them.
