The role of anxiety sensitivity and experimental avoid in predicting mobile addiction in Bonab girl students in 2016-2017

Abstract

Background & objectives: There are several individual risk factors involved in mobile addiction.The aim of this study was to investigate the role of anxiety sensitivity and experimental avoid in predicting mobile addiction of adolescents in Bonab.
Materials and Methods: The study population included all high school female students in the Bonab in the academic year of 2016/17. The study sample consisted of 300 students, who are using cluster random sampling were selected. The data were collected using mobile addiction Questionnaire, anxiety sensitivity scale and experimental avoid scale. The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise regression using SPSS-23.
Results: The results indicated that there was significant relationship between anxiety sensitivity and experimental avoid with mobile addiction. Also, stepwise regression analysis showed that the anxiety sensitivity and experimental avoid can approach 25% of mobile addiction predict.
Conclusion: The results suggest that anxiety sensitivity and experimental avoid adolescents is more sensitive to mobile addiction.
