Background and Aims: Culmination of numerous problems, disappointment of spouse, and mental-emotional distance between couples leads to couple burnout and undesirable relationships among couples. In the present study, the effectiveness of cognitive-behavioral group couple therapy (CBGCT) on reducing couple burnout and improving marital quality of couples was investigated.Material and Methods: The present study was a semi-experimental one which used a pretest-posttest with control group design. The research population included all the couples referring to Rastin counseling and psychological services center of Gorgan city in the spring of 2018. Using available sampling method, 12 couples were selected which were then assigned into two groups of experiment and control. Data gathering was conducted by using the Paynz Couple Burnout Measure (1996) and The Golombok-Rust inventory of marital state (GRIMS) (1998). After completing the pretest by the subjects of both groups, cognitive-behavioral group couples therapy was provided for the experiment group in ten 120-minute sessions while the control group received no intervention. The data were analyzed through multivariate analysis of covariance (MANCOVA) in SPSS v20.Results: Results showed that, after the cognitive-behavioral group couples therapy, the level of couple burnout in the couples of the experiment group had significantly reduced and the intervention had improved their marital quality (P < 0.01).Conclusion: Cognitive-behavioral group couple therapy reduced couple burnout and enhanced marital quality of couples.

Background and Aims: The nutritional conditions of the hospitalized patients depend on the initial status and care provided at the hospital. The aim of study was to investigate the changes in nutritional status of patients with neurological diseases using biochemical indices, anthropometry and nutritional risk index during the period of admission to the intensive care unit. Materials and Method: present descriptive study evaluated the nutritional status of patients with neurological diseases during the first five days of admission to the intensive care unit. General information of patients was recorded. The difference in nutritional status with regard to laboratory, anthropometric measurements and nutritional risk index (NRI) was analyzed for the period of first 5 days of hospitalization using SPSS software. Results: The mean age of the patients participating in the study was 50.7 ± 17.2 Y/O. At the end of the 5-days admission, there were a significant decrease in the size of mid arm circumference and amount of albumin (P-value<0.001), transferrin, total serum protein and hemoglobin (P-value: 0.02). There was a significant increase in the nutritional risk index (P-value<0.001). Conclusion: This study demonstrated the importance of evaluating nutritional status at the time of arrival of patients and the need for timely and adequate nutrition support for patients with neurological diseases to prevent the development of nutritional problems. The study also found that the nutritional risk index alone could be a measurable indicator for nutritional assessment.

Background and Aims: Today due to extensive migration, a great challenge has been created for providing health services. The role of culture, ethnicity, race and nutrition of the community is very important in providing appropriate health services. The aim of this study was to examine the role of culture and cultural and ethnic differences in the provision of health services. Materials and Methods: Related articles from reputable databases such as google scholar, PubMed, ScienceDirect, etc. have been collected and reviewed. Results: The results of the survey show that in most countries, including the United States, which have a large number of immigrants from different countries, they have become more difficult to provide health care services. The results show that more than 50% of non-indigenous people in the United States have to pay attention to receiving health services, cultural beliefs and food habits. Conclusion: Providing theoretical and practical training courses for students and health, nursing and medical personnel to meet the cultural and ethnic differences of the community can improve the conditions of the service.

Material and Methods: The present research is a quasi-experimental study with pretest-posttest with control group design. The study population included all the couples who had visited the Hamyaran Salamat Ravan center in Bojnourd city in the first half of 2017. Using available sampling method, 20 couples who had gained the lowest scores in Marital Adjustment Questionnaire and were qualified for participating in the research were selected and, then, they were assigned into two groups of experiment and control by using random assignment method. The data gathering tool was Dyadic Adjustment Scale of Spinner 1976 which was completed by two groups as pretest. Afterwards, the experiment group received the intervention (couple communication program), but the control group received no intervention. After finishing the training sessions, a posttest was taken by both groups. Also, both groups participated in a follow-up session after about 6 weeks. The data were analyzed through Analysis of variance with repeated measures by SPSS18 software. Results: The results of repeated measures for comparing three phases for both groups showed that couple communication program has been effective in enhancing marital adjustment of couples and the results have been still significantly consistent in the follow-up stage (F= 5.89, p < 0.01). Conclusion: Results indicated the effectiveness of couple communication program on enhancing marital adjustment.

Abstract Background and Aims: Human resources are one of three principle health system inputs, so paying attention to their workload is of great importance. The purpose of the present study was to determine the relationship between the workload of Health workers with working hours of medical Homes in Robat Karim. Materials and Method: This is a descriptive-analytic and cross- sectional study. Data gathered through a timetable checklist of 30 executive activities in medical Homes, which was completed for ten health workers in 10 medical Homes of Robat Karim and three health workers mentors. Data were analyzed using SPSS software, descriptive statistics, independent t-test and one-sample t-test, and the Agresti – Coull confidence interval method. Results: 53.13% of the 30 studied activities had a meaningful relationship with regard to the manner of implementation or the duration of the service with the working hours of health workers. In 56.6% of the activities there was a significant difference between the Target population by each program with a standard state of 100%. 93.3% of the activities were not adequately covered in terms of repetition in the desired period (six months) and had a significant difference with the standard state. Conclusion: health workers have not enough time to provide all services to the covered population, according to the package of services announced by the Ministry of Health. Revision of the package of health care services and the population covered by each health workers is recommended.
